BLOGGERS FOR BURMA: WORKING TOGETHER FOR BURMA
Who are the Bloggers for Burma? There are 16 bloggers who want to make their voices heard in support of those who struggle peacefully for freedom. Or perhaps just 16 crazy utopians who still believe that human rights and democracy are and must be the core values of the world today and of tomorrow.
Those are the words:
"Human rights, freedom and democracy are the lifeblood of society in which we live. Acquired rights and perhaps a little 'discounted for those born, like me, after the birth of the Republic that are exposed to the scent in the air for the first time, inspired.
Human rights, freedom and democracy are, however, for many people in abstract concepts is even forbidden to speak. For the Burmese people a reason to be massacred.
Peacefully, without resistance.
In times of religious fanaticism that cost innocent lives and threaten the foundations of civil society, the Buddhist monks join their people to demand respect for their great dignity of men and citizens.
Do not let their just and honorable protest remains confined to a small region of the world. Human rights, freedom and democracy must be the heritage of all mankind.
And so in an embrace the world we cry: "Free Burma!"

"Do not go into socio-political arguments as there certainly people more competent and prepared by the undersigned to do so.
I prefer to focus on what are the feelings and analyze the gait of these events.
I hope I am wrong but I find them both very similar to those already experienced for Darfur.
Initial wave of anger, accompanied by crude images (think of the performance of the journalist or the monks invested by the military trucks without too many compliments!), On news that did grow more and more anxiety, a growing concern for those populations. Top openings Tg, radio, newspapers and front pages of today instead? ... Today nothing more than a few short article "filler" in the home page of any site and nothing more. News in 8.30 to even mention. Beyond all words and speculations that can be done in relation to each other, my concern is that this time, however, do not forget them because when you start to forget the suffering we become accomplices of their tormentors!

"When the morning, opening his eyes, marks the birth of a new day, I thank those responsible for this gift.
When, through the days that follow one another, are creator of my life and my destiny, I thank my ancestors.
I thank them for the gift that I have done. I thank them for the freedom we now enjoy.
Every day that passes, every moment that I live, I realize how lucky I have. I am a free man.
Not for everyone it is. The people of Burma, led by Buddhist monks, the fight for freedom.
It 'a struggle made through words, through peace. Words of freedom and peace that clash against weapons and intolerance.
We echo those words. Do not leave them alone. Together we can. Free man in a free state. "
Davideelle

"As long as there are men of war ready to hit, choke, kill and imprison men of peace, We will be there to point to them, to condemn, not to forget.
Against all schemes of all colors scream the urgency to see the Burmese independence.

"An international community" distracted "in all these years has largely ignored Burma and what happens there.
But few have ignored the economic opportunities that this country offers.
It is no secret that, despite official condemnation among the biggest investors in Burma there are France, USA and Great Britain.
Accomplish all a concrete gesture to help the Burmese people.
We insist that the EU applies stringent economic sanctions in the meantime everyone should do a little significant gesture boycotting corporations that exploit the energy resources of the country. "
Franca.
--------
"We learned something from Tiananmen Square? Burmese monks today alone can not do it.
It is we, those who are not imprisoned or tortured if we protest, we must help them get rid of the dictatorship that stifles their desire for freedom.
We remain united in Burma and not forget. "
Luke.
---------
"The democratic countries around the world can not keep quiet about the nefarious actions of the repressive Burmese government. Takes concrete action in support of the oppressed people.
Diplomacy alone is not enough to safeguard human rights, especially in this case where the relationship opportunities between governments seem to prevail over the protection of fundamental human rights. "
Mariad.
----------
"What happens in Myanmar, but we prefer to speak of the former Burma, is the clear demonstration that freedom of speech and expression of his thought, as it is in the right of every human being, is continually undermined and threatened by those who use and abuses his power.
Our contribution will therefore be a kind of symbolic march that takes place in parallel with that of the Burmese monks and the many outstanding citizens with admirable strength and determination have decided not to surrender and fell peacefully to the streets to oppose the dictatorship and say with courage the values of democracy and freedom. A sacrifice for a great and noble ideal, however, is having the horrible implications of harsh and unprecedented repression and violence that are overcoming the gap of crimes against humanity.
We choose to give voice to their cry stifled by petty criminals and bloodthirsty. We are with them.
Ours is therefore a cry that wants and needs to go beyond any economic interest, beyond any cultural bias and political.
Help us too.
We give voice to the movement of the Burmese monks ... their freedom. To peace. "

"Freedom and democracy are absolute values, no gun or baton will never stifle.
Aldo Moro told his captors: - "If I kill you will make me a martyr of democracy."
History proved him right to Moro, his sacrifice became a martyr in the name of liberty and became the policy of terror Tomb Brigade!
The Burmese people because of its martyrs will win the military tyranny, sacrifice of the monks and the people was an example and has gained a worldwide political force is very important for democracy and freedom in Burma. "
Polis.
------------
"When a country is not a major power, it has a sufficient economic strength comes from a history of colonial occupation and exploitation, who can defend the appetites of the States" advanced "or emerging?
When a people has never known democracy, and saw choking her brief season of democracy because the leaders who had chosen was not pleasing to those who decide the fate of the world, who can help?
When some of the people and that country can not find the strength and courage to expose his life to contend with the risk of tearing, but to awaken the conscience and break a decade of tyranny, born and supported by external economic interests, who can make him feel that it is not alone?
For us that the democracy we know and live, is a moral duty not to remain silent about what happens in Burma, as in Darfur.
For a State like Italy and for an entity like the European Union should be a duty to press in every way to end the dictatorship, even with blatant measures.
I wish that Italy gave a strong signal to those who are struggling to free themselves by boycotting the Olympics in Beijing. "

"I can not hold back the tears, the words do not come out, I would only add a quote that always accompany me and that I carved in the heart, has always guided me as a teacher:
Freedom am looking for which is so dear, as you know who life for her refuses.

"As a child I liked setting my fantasies of princesses and castles sumptuous, giant elephants and monks who fight against the Tigers, in Burma.
I did not know exactly where it was located geographically that country and that would take away all limits of my imagination.
Now I'm grown up, I learned exactly where Burma. Delineated boundaries between the blood and violence.
Dream that children born under the military dictatorship, the earliest possible return, in turn, to make the dreams of enchanted places, under a sky of regained freedom. "

Do not die only when you cease to live, but even when terror invades the daily lives, and the opportunity to express their opinions freely is brutally crushed.
Nobody has the right to kill the freedom of others.
Romina
-------------
E 'inconceivable that in the third millennium there are still places where human rights are trampled on and where there is no freedom, but unfortunately it is.
What's happening in the former Burma proves it. The example of the monks is to be followed: Democracy comes from the monasteries that have always been an expression of morality, tradition, culture.
I hope the Burmese people succeed in its attempt to break free from the system in a non-violent with the help of the only force seemingly intangible resources such as morality, culture, knowledge, free information, but which, however, are the true pillars of a democratic system .
The monks, with their peaceful protest, are convinced that democracy can be restored without violent struggle or bloodshed.
I hope they are right and that we can conclude everything in the best way peacefully. To do this we need to ensure that does not distract attention from what's happening over there and press for the international community not to forget them, you can do off camera to horrible crimes.
Do not stop talking about Burma, its history and what is happening. We, along with bloggers from around the world can really be a great help for the Burmese people. FREE BURMA!

Never Alone
Air acre
pungent
sulfur smells
smell of stale.
Ash wraps
The heavens dying in Rangoon
Empty, Desert, nothing at all,
Filled with sound deafening
Places once alive
Enlivened silence
And the orange sun rays in prayer.
And here's another Tibet
Another Chile
Another Cambodia
Another Darfur
Another Nazism.
Here is some hate.
And my faint breath
In order not to leave you alone EVER!

Without any fear I support your thoughts and strongly affirmed that the denial of basic human rights is considered a crime against humanity.
I invite you all to myself and make sure that cali attention to the problem, not to be taken by anxiety and desire to give up, to ensure that addiction, that "hits" sometimes even the highest minds, not weaken the strength of our civil protest against such an abomination.
Have shown that you can unite around a just cause, I am sure that no one can break this alliance.

Like everyone I hope that the UN is heard, but really, it seems that we should necessarily intervene in the affairs only when there is a supra-national interest if they are killed 300monaci yet nobody cares or at least not in an to organize something that stirs the waters.

I agree with France even if I do not know how much visibility and we will listen.
I think it is necessary to mail their unit as a unit has been our post. Standard text more or less adaptable to all of a few lines and references to the post.
Deciding in favor of mail to large pieces, we could bring back those who are the Bloggers for Burma in the mail and then write all the blogs that we have outside support that is published our post on their blog.
All seasoned with a few brief lines to explain who we are.
Meanwhile I have created in the yahoo mail:

I would suggest, as I said, a single email course to give us more strength and firmness
